Fashion/Clothes

Clothes play an important role in our everyday life. People choose clothes according to their personal style. TV, music, magazines, our friends and even our parents influence our style. The style is like the language because it can say a lot about a person. There are many reasons for our manner ['mænə] of dressing: physical ['fɪzɪk(ə)l] attraction [ə'trækʃ(ə)n], emotions, religion, traditions.

For exapmle, at school we wear school uniforms. I think that everybody has the freedom to choose the clothes he/she likes, but we should be appropriately ([ə'prəuprɪətlɪ] соответствующе) dressed for any occasion ([ə'keɪʒ(ə)n] случай). School is a place where students get knowledge, it's not a playground. So, in general I like my school uniform, but when the school is over I wear my favourite clothes: jeans and sweaters. I'm sure casual clothes are more comfortable than formal clothes. 

Some young people spend a lot of money to buy fashionable and expensive clothes, but I try to think twice before spending money on clothes. Besides, the world of fashion is always changing.

The clothes we wear tell a lot about us. I absolutely agree that "Style is knowing who you are and what you want to say" because "Fashions come and go, style is forever". Our clothes reflect our feelings and emotions. Today many people want to be fashionable, but it's better to remain true to yourself. The best thing is not to worry about your clothes, but just try to be an interesting person. Let it be your style.

    I would like to say that money plays an important role in our life. People use money every day for things they buy. People work for money, they go out to spend money. 

   Nowadays there are many ways of earning money. Children and students take up part-time jobs. They learn to appreciate their labor. 

   Of course, money gives us independence and a lot of opportunities for having fun. But people become money dependant. They want more and more things.

    As for me, I'm not a person of that kind. I agree that money can make our life more

Great Britain 

The full name of the country is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The United Kingdom is situated on the British Isles. The British Isles consist of two large islands, Great Britain and Ireland, and a great number of small islands. Their total area is over 314 000 sq. km. The British Isles are separated from the European continent by the North Sea and the English Channel. The island of Great Britain consists of three main parts: England, Wales and Scotland.

The population of the United Kingdom is over 58 million people. The capital of the country is London. The United Kingdom is a parliamentary monarchy.

 London is the capital of Great Britain, its political, economic and cultural centre. It is one of the largest cities in the world. London is situated on the river Thames.

The city is very old and beautiful. Traditionally London is divided into several parts: the City, the Westminster, the West End and the East End.

The City is the oldest part of London, its financial and business centre. The Westminster is the aristocratic official part of London. It includes Buckingham Palace, where the Queen lives, and the Houses of Parliament.

The West End is the most beautiful part of London. The best hotels, restaurants, shops, clubs, parks and houses are situated there.

The East End is an industrial district of London. There are many factories and the Port of London there.
